I can never believe quite how fast a year can go by…we have had such a busy 2019, that we have suddenly rolled into 2020!
We have all our usual craft courses and holidays for 2020, plus a few new ones – including our Fleece to Needle Felt a Picture with Karen Price, which we are really excited about. Karen is a local artist, who specialises in needle felted pictures. She produces stunning local landscapes using fleece, from her studio in Cannich. Karen sells her work all over the Highlands and has become well know for her iconic Highland cow pictures, beautifully life like representations of the lovely beasts.
We are so pleased Karen is bringing some of her magic to our courses in June this year. She will be teaching on our June Fleece to Needle Felt a picture course, which includes 1 full day of natural dyeing fleece, then another half day of dyeing and a visit to Glen Affric for inspiration. The final two days are spent needle felting your own picture with Karen.
We also have a new Spinning Retreat running in September 2020, which includes a full day of natural dyeing in the woods, then half day of dyeing and exploration in Glen Affric. The last two days are spent learning to spin with Ali. Our September Spinning Retreat is aimed at beginners but improvers are also very welcome. We provide all the spinning wheels. Guests stay at the Old Stables which is a beautifully converted barn, with all the luxuries of a modern build, but the atmosphere of an old building.
The rest of our 2020 season is full of our weekend craft courses and other week long and mid week craft holidays -some of the lovely things we get up to include: Shibori and Indigo dyeing, natural dyeing, eco-printing, felting, needle felting, spinning, yoga and walking..
