Fleece to Felt week

Come and learn the whole process somewhere beautiful and inspiring..watch Alex shear one of our Shetland sheep. Learn how to Scour (wash) the fleece, card it, pick and forage for dye plants, process the plants, make your natural dyes and dye the fleece over fires outside. Creating stunning colours. Spend two days creating a wall hanging inspired by the landscapes you visit along the way.

Dye to Hand Spin week

If you are interested in knitting, crochet or weaving or just fancy learning something new, join us at Wild Rose Escapes for our Dye to Spin week and learn the whole process from scratch..process our Shetland fleeces, washing and sorting them, pick your dye plants, make beautiful natural dyes and dye your fleece. Then spend 2 days learning or improving your hand spinning with Bridie, creating your own yarn/wool. We provide all the spinning wheels and run the whole week in a very relaxed way..giving you time to enjoy each process and your holiday with us.  (July 9th-16th 2016)

Craft Retreat

Join us in September for a wonderful retreat based at the Old Stables in Corrimony.  On this very flexible week guests can dip into; craft, walking and optional yoga. Start the week at the woods, learning to naturally dye, picking your plants and making dyes, walk in glen Affric and enjoy a morning of optional yoga. The second half of the week starts with a walk to Plodda waterfalls and in Corrimony RSPB reserve and ends with eco printing and felting. Once you arrive in Inverness, you don’t have to think about a thing.. allowing guests to unwind, relax and create!
