Relaxation week: Guests write up

One of our guests from the Autumnal Relaxation week wrote this about their time with us:

Wild Rose Escapes – Relaxation Week

October 2011

The week I spent with Rosie, Joany and the other ‘relaxers’ in the beautiful Scottish Highlands was a truly unforgettable one. Rosie manages to create a perfect mix – beautiful home cooked food, outdoor activities and gentle exploring, crafts and indoor activities and some lovely personal quiet reflection time.

Our small group of seven gelled wonderfully and our shared daily meals cooked by Rosie herself were really gorgeous. Each day was structured in a very relaxed way and included an optional morning, afternoon and evening activity. We started with yoga with the lovely Joany, (suitable for all levels) and then shared a wonderful breakfast around the big kitchen table. Each day there was something different to do – we made bread, listened to Scottish folklore tales, learned to forage on beautiful nature walks, dyed wool and made felt, to name but a few activities. There was no obligation or pressure to take part in any element, which left plenty of opportunity in the beautiful converted barn to have time to do whatever we liked – reading, writing or just snoozing!

Rosie holds beautiful spaces for people to truly relax in – she is wonderful company, a fantastic cook, and her personal touch is apparent throughout. Rosie and her team really create a unique experience – I left having made lovely friends and feeling absolutely rejuvenated, with a clear mind and happy heart. I would recommend this holiday to absolutely anyone as a restorative, relaxing and spirit-lifting break.
